THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS HEREBY INVITED TO THE PUBLIC MEETING OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 11 OF THE ISLAND COUNCIL COMMITTEE ORDINANCE WHICH WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 23RD FEBRUARY AT 2:00 PM.


EVERYONE CAN INSPECT THE DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE MEETING AT:

    The Commissioner of Social Affairs, Mr. Merkman, introduced the agenda point.
    Director of Social Domain, Mrs. Jack, and her Policy Advisor, Ms. Jones, presented the Strong Roots Master Plan 2026.


    Council Lady Spanner-Carty posed questions, which were answered by the Director and her team.

    The Commissioner of Finance, Mr. Merkman, introduced the agenda point.
    The Unit Manager of Finance, Mr. Tuitt, presented the Q4 Implementation Report for 2025.


    Members of the Island Council posed questions. The Commissioner requested a 5-minute adjournment to prepare responses to the questions raised.
    The Unit Manager of Finance answered several questions during the meeting, the remaining questions will be answered in writing.

    Commissioner Reuben:

    • Commissioner Leerdam will be travelling to Bonaire this evening in connect with Statia students participating in sporting events.
    • There's a lawyer currently on island to assist tenants purchasing homes in Golden Rock with any related questions. The office is open from 8 am to 5 pm.
