THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS HEREBY INVITED TO THE PUBLIC MEETING OF THE ISLAND COUNCIL IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 11 OF THE RULES OF ORDER ISLAND COUNCIL WHICH WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY 23 JANUARY 2025 AT 9:30 AM IN THE V.A. LOPES LEGISLATIVE HALL.
EVERYONE CAN INSPECT THE DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE MEETING AT:

This agenda point was placed by Councilman van Putten to gain clarity from the Executive Council on the current status.
The Commissioner of constitutional affairs Ms. Leerdam, mentions that this discussion should be brought back to the people to see how they want to fill in Autonomy. The IC passed a resolution in 2017, do we still subscribe to that? How do we want to fill that in? Based on that feedback we will go forward. The Island Council can decide but the people must be taken along.
