THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS HEREBY INVITED TO THE PUBLIC MEETING OF THE ISLAND COUNCIL IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 11 OF THE RULES OF ORDER ISLAND COUNCIL WHICH WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2025 AT 9:30 AM IN STUCO CONFERENCE ROOM.

    The meeting was adjourned for a recess of 15 minutes.

    Councilman Schmidt extends his heartfelt condolences to the Schrewhardt family on their recent loss.

    In agreement, the Island Council resolved to add an additional agenda point: "Standpoint Island Council Sint Eustatius WolBes FinBes."

    The Island Registrar read the Joint Press Statement from the BES islands concerning the WolBES and FinBES.
    Members of the Island Council protested against the consultation process. The agenda point was placed on the agenda for the purpose of raising awareness and to allow each member to make a firm statement of their position.


    The Island Council discussed the matter accordingly.

    The Commissioner of Finance, Mr. Merkman, introduced the agenda point. The unit manager of Finance, Mr. Tuitt, gave a presentation.
    The agenda point was discussed. All questions from the Island Council were answered by Commissioner Merkman & Commissioner Leerdam.


    The meeting was adjourned for a lunch break of 30 minutes (1:33 PM - 2:03 PM).
