THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS HEREBY INVITED TO THE PUBLIC MEETING OF THE ISLAND COUNCIL IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 11 OF THE RULES OF ORDER ISLAND COUNCIL WHICH WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 19TH MAY 2025 IN THE V.A. LOPES LEGISLATIVE HALL.
EVERYONE CAN INSPECT THE DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE MEETING AT:
- THE OFFICE OF THE ISLAND REGISTRY GOVERNMENT GUEST HOUSE AND/OR
- ON WWW.STATIAGOVERNMENT.COM/ GOVERNMENT/ISLANDCOUNCIL.
THE MEETING WILL ALSO BE TRANSMITTED LIVE ON 92.3 FM.

Commissioner Rechelline Leerdam will be joining online.
No announcements from the Island Council members
Announces the recent change in venue, due to a renovation happening at the Government Guesthouse.
The meeting is held in the Conference room of the Emergency operation Center until the renovation is complete.

The Chairlady:
This meeting and the agenda point was requested by Council man Van Putten.
Councilman Van Putten will be given the word for the introduction.
Councilman Van Putten:
Due to the approach of several parents, and students regarding the situation at the Gwendoline Van Putten school.
The teacher's representative called for the board's resignation.
The situation is becoming untenable.
While the office of the General Secretary is still verifying some things in accordance with the laws, I request a 30-minutes adjournment, which I will use to finalize the motion once the general secretary verifies the information.
Meeting adjourned for 30 minutes
Meeting opened with Councilman van Putten speaking in the first round, and submitting the motion escalating situation Gwendoline Van Putten.

Councilman van Putten: Extended his condolences to the late Mr. Jaap Vreeling.
Chairlady Francis: also extends her condolences to the Late Mr. Jaap Vreeling who was along time teacher on Sint Eustatius.
